It would be hard to imagine the San Antonio Spurs being as dysfunctional on Wednesday night as they were in Game 1 of their Western Conference playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers. For a team that is so renowned for getting off to good starts in the playoffs, winning eleven consecutive openers, San Antonio looked like a squad that had to be told the post-season had begun. They shot just 37% from the field, and had no success at all attacking the hoop. They’re going have to change things around if they want to avoid an 0-2 deficit as Game 2 begins at 10:35 PM ET at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
BetAnySports customers will have a lot of wagering opportunities on this game, as they take advantage of Live Betting Extra, which presents a continual flow of options which is in constant motion as the game progresses.
Both of these teams had been red-hot as the regular-season wound down. In fact, they were the two hottest teams in the NBA. The Clippers won 14 of their last 15 games, with the Spurs going 11-1 in their last dozen. So it is not as if it is a big shocker that Los Angeles came out with some fire on Sunday. What might be something of a surprise is the fact that San Antonio did not seem to have such a wise game plan to take advantage of their edge in depth.

When you look at this national championship game, it would appear that the Duke Blue Devils would have the experience edge, since this is the ninth title game for coach Mike Krzyzewski. But the truth of the matter is, Duke is far less experienced than the Wisconsin Badgers, who just pulled off an epic victory over team (the Kentucky Wildcats) who thought they might be on their way to a 40-0 season. Now these clubs meet with a tip-off time of 9:20 PM ET at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, with all the marbles on the line.
Let’s lay out the records for you; Wisconsin, which brought back four starters from last year’s club, is currently 36-3 straight up and 21-17 against the basketball pointspread. Duke, which starts three freshmen, is 34-4 straight up and 24-14 against the points. Wisconsin has had more close games then the Blue Devils, who have created a lot of distance between themselves and opponents by playing defense at what would appear to be a higher level than they did during the regular season.
Wisconsin seems to be demonstrating that having experienced people on the floor really counts for something. One of those players is Frank Kaminsky, who has just been named player of the year and who led the way against Kentucky in the 71-64 victory with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

The Golden State Warriors have already clinched the #1 spot in the Western Conference, but that does not mean they are going into Tuesday night’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers with any less intensity. This is a tough rivalry, and they also play the war of words off the court. These two teams are on winning streaks right now, which only adds to the storyline. Basketball betting action will get underway at 10:35 PM ET at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. And after the game begins, customers at BetAnySports have the opportunity to wager on the side, total and props through the facilities of Live Betting Extra.
Golden State has a record of 60-13 straight-up, and that is good for a ten-game lead over the Memphis grizzlies in the West. Therefore, they have clinched the regular-season conference title. Golden State is also 43-26-3 against the basketball pointspread
The Clippers are 49-25 straight-up, but they have been unprofitable against the number, going 33-40-2 ATS. They are the fifth-place team in the conference, but they are embroiled in a hot battle with San Antonio, which is nipping at their heels, just a game and a half behind. The Clippers could conceivably catch Memphis for the second spot, because they trail the Grizzlies by only a game and a half. So as you can see, the action in the West is fast and furious, when you get past the Warriors.

Greg Popovich looks to lead his San Antonio Spurs to a big road win on Saturday. This has been a difficult task for the Spurs for most of 2014-15 as they sit with a 14-16 record. This includes losing four straight contests before their showdown with the Sacramento Kings on Friday Night.
Nonetheless Saturday’s contests between the Spurs and Phoenix Suns should be a entertaining contests featuring two of teams fighting for a spot in the Western Conference playoffs. The Spurs currently hold on to the seventh spot in the conference but after a rought stretch in which the team has only won four of their last games their lead has been reduced.
The Suns currently sit at 31-28 sitting just a game and half out of the final spot in the conference but have had their own issues of late before picking up back-to-back wins. The one thing to remember in this match up is that it is a home game for a Suns team that is 17-12 at home this season.
For the Suns to win this game on Saturday it will simply come down to how well Eric Bledsoe plays. In this team’s back-to-back wins Bledsoe has posted a state line of 2 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists in one contests and 18 points, six rebounds and six assists in the teams other game. The top 25 NCAA action around the NCAA is light on Wednesday with an eight game slate. Of those eight games only the Baylor Bears traveling to Iowa to take on Iowa State features two top 25 teams. The Bears enter this game ranked 19th in the country with a 20-7 record to go along with an 8-6 record in the Big 12.
On the other side the Cyclones enter this matchup ranked number 12th in the country at 20-6 overall and a 10-4 record in the Big 12. This game is even more important for the Cyclones this week after Kansas fell on the road at Kansas State last night. A win against the Bears would move the Cyclones to the top of the Big 12 with a half-game lead.
These two teams met back in January on Baylor’s home floor with the Bears walking away with the one point win at 74-73. In that contest the Bears jumped out to a 46-34 leading into the half but the team would struggle in the second half. The Cyclones outscored the Bears 39-28 in the second half but couldn’t hit the desperate jumper from behind the free throw line. Read More…
The 41-9 Hawks welcome in a Golden State Warriors team that sits at 39-8. These two teams sit atop the Eastern and Western Conferences as the 2015 All-Star Break approaches.
When you look at these two squads you see a lot of differences on the paper side but on the court they both do a lot of things the same. Much of the success for these two clubs comes with their ability to pass the ball to set up scoring opportunities. The Warriors enter the contest leading the NBA in assists per game at 27.3 while the Hawks sit in second with 25.9 assists per game.
This success starts with both Stephen Curry and Jeff Teague at the point guard positions. Curry is an NBA All-Star who has the ability to not only to shoot the three ball but sits fifth in the NBA in assists per game with 8.1 per game. Teague on the other hand might not have the big name or the expectations that follow Curry but only trails him by .6 of an assist per game. Read More…
John Wall leads his Washington Wizards into Atlanta to take on the red hot Hawks. Despite coming off their first loss since December the Hawks are still a difficult team to beat including at home. On the season the Hawks are 23-3 at home with their last home loss coming the day after Christmas.
The point spreads aren’t out on this contest as of now but with the Wizards struggling over their last three games losing all three we could see the spread reach 6-8 points favoring the Hawks. The other factor they will take into play has been the Wizards play on the road this season going 13-10.
The NFL season wraps up as the Seattle Seahawks look to repeat in Super Bowl XLIX against the New England Patriots. The last time the NFL produced back to back Super Bowl champions was during the 2003-2004 NFL season when the Patriots accomplished the feat.
The list of other back to back Super Bowl Champions include the Green Bay Packers, Miami Dolphins, Pittsburgh Steelers twice, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys Denver Broncos and the Patriots. While this accomplishment doesn’t have much of an output on Super Bowl XLIX it may shed some light on how you would like to put your money on the Super Bowl.
One thing we like to look at before placing a bet or wager of any size are different trends that could help us make a decision. This could play a major role as we have witnessed 48 Super Bowl games but only a repeat champion eight times.
Along with the trend of teams repeating as Super Bowl Champions we also like to take a look at the current point spread and how a team has performed this season. The Seahawks opened on a variety of the sports books as a 1.5 point favor but since that time the spread has moved in the direction of the Patriots before resting as a pick em on Sunday. Read More…
