SportsPlays Rules

Making Picks

1) Plays will be accepted up to the starting time of the sporting event.

2) You can't cancel, change, or modify your play in any way once it has been received and accepted by SportsPlays.com. As you are solely responsible for your account transactions, review all play details for any mistakes, errors, or omissions before placing your play.

3) Lines and odds are determined by SportsPlays.com and will not always match odds from other sources. Odds for any event are capped at +1500 (15 to 1).

4) You may place picks using your Primary Balance or your Bonus Balance. When placing a pick using your Primary Balance, a win pays the amount risked + the amount won. When placing a pick using Bonus Cash, a win pays back amount won only.

5) In football and basketball, you may move the point spread by "buying" points in 0.5 point increments on straight ATS picks. You may increase the number of points than an underdog receives or decrease the number of points that a favorite must lay. You may move a spread up to 3 full points. Each 1/2 point bought increases the odds by 10c. For example, you can move a spread from -1.5 (-110) to -1 (-120). When buying on or off of a spread of 3 or 7 in football, you pay an additional 15c for a total cost of 25c. For example, you can move from +2.5 (-110) to +3 (-135).

Grading of Picks

8) We reserve the right to void any winning plays that were obtained as a result of hardware/software error or malfunction or correlated picks, even if the system allowed the picks to be placed. Players found abusing such errors/malfunctions are subject to having their account closed and any winning prizes forfeited.

9) All sporting events must take place on the date and at the site scheduled unless otherwise specified. If an event is postponed, rescheduled, and/or relocated before it starts, that event will be cancelled from action (tennis excepted).

10) Football (professional and college) game scores are official after 55 minutes of play. First quarter and first-half plays are official only after the full quarter or half has been played. All picks on 2nd half include overtime. If a game does not go 55 minutes, all full-game and 2nd half picks are considered a push.

11) Professional basketball game scores are official after 43 minutes of play. First quarter and first-half plays are official only after the full quarter or half has been played. All picks on 2nd half include overtime. If a game does not go 43 minutes, all full-game and 2nd half picks are considered a push.

12) College basketball game scores are official after 35 minutes of play. All picks on 2nd half include overtime. If a game does not go 35 minutes, all full-game and 2nd half picks are considered a push.

13) Hockey game scores are official after 55 minutes of play. Results from overtime are counted towards the final score. If a game does not go 55 minutes, all full-game and 2nd half picks are considered a push.

14) Baseball scores for purposes of grading moneyline plays are final after 5 innings of play. Baseball scores for purposes of grading totals plays and runline plays are official after 9 innings of play. If a baseball game is suspended or stopped, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning. Suspended games do not carry over to the following day or a future date.

15) All baseball picks are considered "Action" meaning they are graded regardless of any pitching changes. Baseball picks are not cancelled if pitchers change.

16) Soccer grading is based on 90 minutes of play plus added injury and stoppage time only. Extra Time, Golden Goals and Shootouts do not count. Matches must go to full time or all picks will be graded no action. All moneyline picks have three outcomes: home team win, away team win or a draw. Draws occur when the game ends in a tie and all picks on the home or away team will be grade as losses (draw picks win). There are no pushes for moneyline picks. For spread (ATS) picks, 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 or 2.5 goals are added to the underdogs score or subtracted from the favorites score when determining the results. Spread (ATS) picks can end in a win, loss or push. Totals will be determined by the combined score of both teams. Game must go to fulltime or picks will be graded no action.

17) Tennis moneyline picks are on the match. Tennis matches must go at least one complete set (winner wins 6+ games) or moneyline picks will be graded as a push. If a player retires moneyline picks will be graded based on the player that advances to the next round. ATS and Totals picks are on the sum of the games played in the match (regardless of Set outcomes). If a tennis match is not completed because of a player retirement or disqualification prior to 2 sets completing, all ATS and Totals picks will be considered a push. All tennis picks have action until the completion of the match, regardless of delays due to rain, darkness or any other reason or change of surface or venue.

18) Fighting (boxing and MMA) moneyline picks are graded on the winner of the match (based on the official result at ringside) regardless of how many rounds or how the win is obtained. Totals grading is based on the round in which the fight ends, regardless of the time remaining in that round. Results are not official for picks purposes until verified by officials at the fighting venue. If a decision is later overturned, it will not affect picks. Draws are possible. Any fight that is deemed “no contest” or “no decision” will be graded as a push. Fights must take place within 30 days of scheduled date or will be graded as a push.

19) NASCAR (head to head) moneyline picks are graded based on the winner of the race. Both drivers must start the race for head to head match-ups to be considered action. If one driver fails to complete the race, the other driver will be declared the winner. Races must take place within 48 hours of scheduled date or will be graded as a push.

20) Parlay Grading

a) A tie (or postponed game) in a parlay reduces the number of plays in the parlay. For example, if a 5-play parlay has two ties (or two games postponed), then it will become a 3-play parlay and the payout will be recalculated based on the new number of plays. A 2-play parlay with one tie (or postponed game) will reduce to a straight pick. In the case that a parlay is reduced to zero plays, the entire pick will be considered a push and the whole pick amount refunded.

b) All propositions must cover for the parlay to be considered a win (exception: ties or postponed games reduce, see above). If any proposition loses, the entire parlay will be considered a loss. There are no partial payouts.

c) Games not played on the date specified are considered a push and reduce the parlay to the next lowest number of plays. For Example: A 5-play parlay will be reduced to a 4-play parlay, a 2-play parlay will be reduced to a straight pick and payouts are adjusted accordingly.

21) Teaser Grading

a) There are no partial payouts. All propositions must cover for the teaser to be considered a win. (Exception: a push in a regular teaser reduces the payout). If any proposition loses, the entire teaser will be considered a loss.
b) A push in a regular teaser of 3 teams or more reduces the number of plays in the teaser. For example, a 4-team teaser has two pushes, it will become a 2-team teaser and the payout will be recalculated based on the new number of plays.
c) A push in a 2-team regular teaser results in a push. Also, if any portion of a 2-team teaser has a result of "No Action", the entire teaser will be graded "No Action".
d) A push in a Sweetheart Teaser is a loss. Sweetheart teasers never reduce and must have ALL propositions cover for the teaser to be considered a win. If a Sweetheart teaser contains 1+ postponed events or voided picks, the teaser is a push (no action).
e) Games not played on the date specified are considered "No Action" and will reduce the teaser to the next lowest number of plays. Payouts are adjusted accordingly.
